David Schulz, DC CSCS (nicknamed Sasha) is originally from the Toronto area. He started his degree in biochemistry at the University of Waterloo, but later switched to Kinesiology to follow his fascination with athletic performance. He started working as a personal trainer while in school, and volunteered coaching varsity athletes in the weight room. After graduation, he moved to Victoria to be closer to family. During his time in Victoria, he worked as the strength and conditioning coach for the Camosun Chargers basketball teams at the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence. He also worked with individual clients, and athletes of all levels to improve performance in their respective sports. Sasha moved to Portland in 2015 to attend the Chiropractic program at the University of Western States. Sasha practiced in Portland for 2.5 years before returning to British Columbia for good.
Sasha enjoys lifting weights, running, outdoor activities, and gastronomy (read; cooking and eating a lot). He has professional interest, among other things, in active treatment methods and exercise prescription for rapid pain relief and improved performance. His goals are to help patients decrease pain as quickly as possible, and teach them ways to decrease the frequency of pain recurrence. He uses his knowledge and experience from coaching, athletics, formal and continuing education, and frequent reading of relevant scientific literature to form his treatment approach.
